Depart Johannesburg on a self-drive fun family vacation towards the renowned Kruger National Park and Balule Nature Reserve. The journey takes about 5 hours. Arrive in time for lunch which is a magnificent affair, and you're welcome to eat around the pool or on the viewing deck.
This safari lodge in Balule offers just four magnificently appointed chalets (one family unit with two rooms and one standard unit) sleeping only eight people. Spending quality family time together will kick off with your first afternoon safari.
As the day begins to cool and the animals start to move, your sunset drive will stop for sundowners and then continue on into the night in search of wildlife encounters! You will return to the lodge for a delicious freshly prepared dinner and then perhaps enjoy the Pub which is legendary for its wide selection of beverages and great bush atmosphere. Game viewing activity: Afternoon game drive.This morning you are up before sunrise for your game drive and you will stop for coffee somewhere in the bush. On this activitiy there is a maximum limit of eight guests on the game viewer. After breakfast, the bush walk sets off to explore a different aspect of Big Five country.
The smaller marvels and fascinations of the wilderness will be pointed out, from tiny flowers hiding under bushes to animal tracks and signs, birds and insects.
The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps relax on the beautiful swimming pool deck overlooking the river bed or spend time game viewing at the private waterhole.
