Day 1: Johannesburg to Balule Nature Reserve
Your honeymoon safari begins when you depart from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport for your flight to Hoedspruit. On arrival at the airport, you will be met by a representative who will assist with the road transfer to your lodge in the Balule Nature Reserve. Once at the lodge you will be warmly welcomed and introduced to your three day programme.
The enormous wooden dining deck is a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings before heading out on your first-afternoon safari. Your honeymoon and romantic package will be spent enjoying the wonders of the African bush.
Two of the largest trees in South Africa, a sycamore fig (Ficus Sycamorus) with a diameter in excess of five metres and a leadwood tree (Combretum Imberbe) in excess of two metres, grow in the riverine forest.
Day 2: Safari Lodge in Balule Nature Reserve
Enjoy an early morning game drive where your personal ranger will share his experiences of the bush and animals with you in an open vehicle on your Big Five safari in South Africa. At dusk, your guide will take you into the world of the nocturnal creatures on a night drive.
You stop for sundowners while the sun drops over the Drakensberg Mountains to then be replaced by a blanket of stars, making your safari in South Africa a special one. Guests are also offered bush walks, where they go on one of the most thrilling walks of all through Lion country. You will get closer to nature's small creatures, trees and birds than you could ever imagine.
Day 3: Balule Nature Reserve to Johannesburg
