The Ethnic Delight Package Experience
With only six African Rondawels and two Family Lodges, you will enjoy the intimacy and privacy of a small camp. The rooms, with al fresco showers, are decorated using indigenous themes inspired by local tradition and culture. Gourmet meals are served in unusual surroundings, reflecting the spirit of your safari adventure in the Balule Nature Reserve.
Whether sipping sundowners on a game drive or relaxing beside the sparkling pool, guests soon discover that the accent is on comfort and unobtrusive attentiveness. The lodge is centrally situated and thus an ideal base from which to explore the area. The magnificent Panorama Route and the Blyde River Canyon are nearby as well as the Orpen and Phalaborwa gates for the Kruger National Park.
Day 1: Johannesburg to Balule Nature Reserve
Depart from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport with a private road transfer and head towards the Balule Nature Reserve. The drive is approximately 5-6 hours. Arrive in time to settle in before lunch. The first safari departs in the late afternoon. Return after dark to dinner in the outdoor boma (enclosure), under the stars and close to nature.

Day 2: Safari Lodge in Balule Nature Reserve
Your Ranger will wake you up for an early morning safari. Head off at sunrise to continue your game viewing experience. This excursion will also include a nature walk. You will return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Relax around the pool spending quality family time together before lunch and then another exciting evening safari.

Day 3: Safari Lodge in Balule Nature Reserve
Your last day at the lodge will start with another morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. Enjoy your family getaway in a hammock near the pool, or browse through the interesting curio shop. The lodge also offers astronomy safaris on clear evenings, giving you the opportunity to stand in awe of the brilliant African night sky with the help of a powerful telescope.

Day 4: Balule Nature Reserve to Johannesburg
This is the final day of your Ethnic Delight Safari Package in the Balule Nature Reserve near Kruger National Park.
After a morning activity and breakfast you say farewell to your safari lodge and depart via road transfer to Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport.
