The game drive experience at Greenfire Game Lodge is comfortingly traditional. Morning and late afternoon drives depart daily through the reserve which will bring you closer to a wide selection of animals but without the “safari traffic” to contend with.
The team of rangers are incredibly efficient and should hopefully get you to see most of the Big Five during the course of a two or three-night stay, at the minimum.
You’ll be amazed at what comes out of that little kitchen at Greenfire Game Lodge. All meals are lovingly prepared and if you’re a meat lover, be sure to order the marinated ribs. Have more of a sweet tooth? you’ll love their selection of homemade cakes and sticky desserts.
From lunch on the deck to dinner around the boma fire, meals are always a real treat, and aside from game drives, are always an occasion to look forward to.
What we really love about this lodge is that is is so well positioned by the seasonal Mohlabetsi River that you don’t even need to venture very far to experience wild game. Look out for little vervet monkeys leaping from the branches and slow-moving elephant families.
There is always something to see right on your doorstep if you’re willing to sit for a while. The best part about doing so, is that there’s always a staff member on hand to offer a drink top up, or a quick snack from the kitchen.
